QUALITY
A quality system built in from day one
Most print shops add paperwork when a customer asks for it. We started with the system: procedures, trained people, calibrated gauges and records, before the first part was made.
One integrated management system
Our system is written and run to the principles of these standards, so it is ready for customer and third-party audits as we grow:
- ISO 9001: quality management
- AS9100: aerospace and defence quality
- IATF 16949 with the AIAG core tools: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, MSA, SPC
- ISO 14001: environment
- ISO 45001 and the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act: health and safety
Black Spruce is not certified or registered to any of these standards yet. Certifications and registrations will be listed here only once they are granted.

FOR DEFENCE BUYERS
A Canadian supplier, building toward controlled work
Black Spruce is a Canadian-owned, federally incorporated company. Registration with the Controlled Goods Program is being prepared and will be listed here when granted. Until then, we can work on non-controlled parts, prototypes and fixtures, and discuss controlled requirements with you directly.
